A new kvirc version, 3.4 was released 25th March[0]. I think it would be
convenient having it into Debian Lenny, since it will be the last KDE3
version. Current development is already aiming towards KDE4.
I'm already working on its package, and I would be glad to help you if
are still interested into its packaging.
Since I think I'll end up in packaging it anyway (for self usage), I'd
like this effort doesn't eventually clash with what could be done by
you.
If you are not interested in this package anymore, I would be glad to
take over it with the help of kde-extras team.
I'll contact you once I have some relevant work done about this.
