Package: atlas3-base
Version: 3.6.0-20.2

Hi,

I notice that atlas3-base depends on a gcc-3.4 package (libg2c0). Would it be possible to make it depend on new version of fortran library? It is my only reason not to remove old versions of gcc.

snoopy:~$ dpkg -s atlas3-base
[...]
Architecture: powerpc
Source: atlas3
Version: 3.6.0-20.2
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.5-1), libg2c0 (>= 1:3.4.4-5), debconf (>= 0.5) |
debconf-
2.0
[...]

snoopy:~$ dpkg -s libg2c0
[...]
Source: gcc-3.4 (3.4.6-1)
[...]

On the new gcc-4.1, the fortran library is called libfortran1 (and not
libg2c0).

Friendly,

The atlas3 package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/473440 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
