hi Frankie,
our proFTPd dies with signal 11 - I am not sure if I should file a bug
report - there is currently no related report on BTS:
ProFTPd dies when the FTP client issues certain (any?) commands:
Mar 9 14:19:39 backburner proftpd[7605]: backburner.produktivit.com
(80.108.39.242[80.108.39.242]) - FTP session opened.

(80.108.39.242[80.108.39.242]) - ProFTPD terminating (signal 11)
the client sees:
# ftp www.lsa.at

Just verified the use of non-shadowed passwords does not create
problems in proftpd-1.2.10-15. So closing.
