Package: xmms
Version: 1.2.6-2
Severity: minor

Steps to Reproduce:
1) First get a baseline measurement: in a term, run
    ps x | awk '$3 == "Z" { print }'
2) Enable the Song Change plugin under General Plugins
3) Configure it with the Song change command being:
    echo "%s" > /tmp/currentSong.text
and the Playlist end command being empty.
4) touch /tmp/currentSong.text (I've got it on my system, so you should
   too).
5) Play a song from your playlist.
6) Stop the song.
7) Take a measurement as in step 1.

Expected behaviour:
No change in output between steps 1 and 7.

Actual behaviour:
More zombie shells appear in the output of step 7 than step 1. After a
day of playing music, the number of processes can become fairly large
(one for each song, it seems.)

I'm using bash 2.05a-5.

The xmms package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/461309 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
