After using xmms for a while (30 minutes, 2 or 3 hours), it freezes. I
have to do kill -9. When restarting xmms, it saids that ALSA output
plugin fails :-¿? Sometimes, after 30 or 40 minutes, I can't hear sounds in
KDE desktop and it fails when trying to restart artsd. Other times,
after 30 or 40 minutes, I start xmms and works! Sorry, but the
behaviour is somewhat erratic. I suspect that the interaction xmms,
artsd (I use KDE) and alsa is not properly working. Tell me if I can
be of help. Thanks a lot!

The xmms package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/461309 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
