Package: xmms
Version: 1.2.10+cvs20050209-2
Severity: important

I get crashes when playing some of my MP3s. Running xmms under gdb
shows that it crashes here:

#0 0xb6da7f40 in id3_get_content () from /usr/lib/xmms/Input/libmpg123.so
#1 0xb6d8898c in mpg123_id3v2_get () from /usr/lib/xmms/Input/libmpg123.so
#2 0xb6d89f35 in get_iplugin_info () from /usr/lib/xmms/Input/libmpg123.so
#3 0xb6d89611 in get_iplugin_info () from /usr/lib/xmms/Input/libmpg123.so
#4 0x08060e0c in input_get_song_info ()
#5 0x0806b177 in playlist_get_songtime ()
#6 0x0806af96 in playlist_get_songtitle ()
#7 0x08094938 in playlistwin_real_hide ()
#8 0x08068e92 in playlist_ins ()
#9 0x08069540 in playlist_ins_url_string ()
#10 0x08089779 in check_pposition ()

(the entire callstack is 40 entries long with loads of gtk_* calls
below what I've shown above).

I've reduced an example MP3 to the shortest length that still causes
xmms to crash and attached it to this message. It's only 168 bytes
long.

Cheers,
Mark.

The xmms package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/461309 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
