Package: xmms
Version: 1.2.5-2
Severity: important

I've been experiencing some random crashes with XMMS lately.

In trying to find the cause of the crashes, I've found that they start
with the playlist window dissapearing (often while the whole thing is
minimized, but not always). I set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to /usr/lib/debug and
ran xmms under gdb to try to find where it crashed. A log of a crash is
attached (starting right after XMMS started playing the first .mp3 file).

I've not noticed any consistant situation that causes the playlist to
disapear, nor what then makes XMMS segfault afterwards. If there's more
debugging info I can provide, I'd be happy to.

The xmms package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/461309 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
