Package: xmms
Version: 1.2.4-4
Severity: normal

Using the ESD plugin allows mixing sounds and ogg vorbis to work properly
on my iMac, but breaks MikMod output. It is most likely an endian issue
because it produces loud static (painful endian static).

Using MikMod with OSS works properly, but then ogg vorbis files cannot play.

Suggest making MikMod work properly with ESD on Big Endian systems.

Version of esound: 0.2.22-3.

experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/461309 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
