Using the ALSA output plugin makes the volume adjustments with both the mouse
and the keyboard eratic (e.g.
60+63+67+70+73+76+79+81-79-75-72-69-66-63-61+63-63-61-59+60-59, adjustment set
to 2%).
With the OSS output plugin it works fine.

The xmms package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/461309 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
