When a Debian (testing- etch) system is installed the system audio
default now seems to be ALSA rather than OSS. I suggest it might be
worth changing this default in XMMS so that new users aren't initially
presented with a generic "Couldn't open audio" error.

experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
