When changing the volume, xmms changes the wrong volume value. It doesn't
change the speaker volume but that is the relevant mixer device to change.
Instead another mixer device is changed that isn't connected to xmms playing.

The xmms package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
