When I installed the package, some files were missing in
/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/MySQLdb. As a conclusion, I could not
import _mysqldb in a python script.
I solved the problem by copying the missing files from an other computer.
I am using Debian GNU/Linux 'Woody', kernel 2.4.24 SMP.

this bug exists only in woody, which is oldstable and unsupported now
that sarge has been released.
