Hello maintainer,
While performing an archive wide checkbashisms (from the 'devscripts' package)
check I've found your package containing a /bin/sh script making
use of a bashism.
checkbashisms' output:
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/rpreadnews line 29 (should be 'b = a'):
> if [ "$1" == "-u" -o "$1" == "--urls" ]; then
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/rpreadnews line 31 (should be 'b = a'):
> elif [ "$1" == "--help" -o $1 == "-h" ]; then
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/rpreadnews line 37 (should be 'b = a'):
> elif [ "$1" == "--old" ]; then
> possible bashism in ./usr/bin/rpreadnews line 56 (should be 'b = a'):
> if [ "$ALL_NEWS" == "Y" ]; then
Not using bash as /bin/sh would lead to errors. Please be aware that although
bash is currently the default /bin/sh there's a release goal for Lenny to
make dash the default /bin/sh[1].
If you want more information about dash as /bin/sh, you can read:

The root-portal package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/387596 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.
Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
