Package: emacs22
Version: 22.2+2-2
Severity: normal
Syntax highlighting (font-lock-mode) doesn't work in c-mode and other
related modes like c++-mode. Font-lock in general works (e.g. in
python-mode or nxml or even Slime). I've tried removing my ~/.emacs
and restarting emacs22 but the problem persists. Note that the c-mode
of emacs21 works flawlessly on this same machine (in fact I'm
currently using emacs21 until this is sorted out)

Aaah, that's an explanation.
Closing the bug,
