--- Begin Message ---Subject: gnome-pilot: Only sync once Package: gnome-pilot Version: 2.0.15-2 Severity: important I can sync my Zire71 only one single time. Afet a reboot I can sync again, but if I press sync button for second time or more, I get a timeout. The only way to get get sync to work again is rebooting or plugging and unplugging another usb device (a mass-storage device, for instance). I use "usb:" in my gpilotd configuration and visor module is not loaded. pilot-xfer via libusb works fine no matter how much times in a row I do the sync. udev rules seems to work well too and device files in /dev "usbdevX.Y_epZZ" are created with correct permissions every time I push the sync button. dmesg example output: [...] usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 3 usb 3-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice ### SYNC OK ### usb 3-1: USB disconnect, address 3 usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 4 usb 3-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice ### SYNC TIMEOUT ### usb 3-1: USB disconnect, address 4 usb 7-5: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 6 usb 7-5: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice scsi7 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices usb-storage: device found at 6 usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning usb-storage: device scan complete scsi 7:0:0:0: Direct-Access Audio Player PQ: 0 ANSI: 0 CCS sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] 2039296 512-byte hardware sectors (1044 MB) sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Write Protect is off sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Mode Sense: 03 00 00 00 sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] 2039296 512-byte hardware sectors (1044 MB) sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Write Protect is off sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Mode Sense: 03 00 00 00 sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through sdb: sdb1 sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Attached SCSI removable disk ### PLUG, MOUNT, UNMOUNT AND UNPLUG A MP3 PLAYER ### usb 7-5: USB disconnect, address 6 usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 5 usb 3-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice ### SYNC WORKS AGAIN ### usb 3-1: USB disconnect, address 5 usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 6 usb 3-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice ### SYNC FAILS AGAIN WITH A TIMEOUT ERROR ### usb 3-1: USB disconnect, address 6 [...] -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_ES.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_ES.UTF-8 (charmap=ISO-8859-15) (ignored: LC_ALL set to [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages gnome-pilot depends on: ii gconf2 2.18.0.1-3 GNOME configuration database syste ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.19-3 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libatk1.0-0 1.18.0-2 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libbonobo2-0 2.18.0-2 Bonobo CORBA interfaces library ii libbonoboui2-0 2.18.0-5 The Bonobo UI library ii libc6 2.6.1-2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.4.10-1+b2 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libdbus-1-3 1.1.1-3 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.74-1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libfontconfig1 2.4.2-1.2 generic font configuration library ii libgconf2-4 2.18.0.1-3 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglade2-0 1:2.6.2-1 library to load .glade files at ru ii libglib2.0-0 2.14.0-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome-keyring0 0.8.1-2 GNOME keyring services library ii libgnome-pilot2 2.0.15-2 Support libraries for gnome-pilot ii libgnome2-0 2.18.0-4 The GNOME 2 library - runtime file ii libgnomecanvas2-0 2.14.0-3 A powerful object-oriented display ii libgnomeui-0 2.18.1-2 The GNOME 2 libraries (User Interf ii libgnomevfs2-0 1:2.18.1-4 GNOME Virtual File System (runtime ii libgtk2.0-0 2.10.13-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libhal1 0.5.9.1-4 Hardware Abstraction Layer - share ii libice6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii liborbit2 1:2.14.7-0.1 libraries for ORBit2 - a CORBA ORB ii libpanel-applet2-0 2.18.3-2 library for GNOME Panel applets ii libpango1.0-0 1.18.1-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpisock9 0.12.2-10 library for communicating with a P ii libpisync0 0.12.2-10 synchronization library for PalmOS ii libpopt0 1.10-3 lib for parsing cmdline parameters ii libsm6 2:1.0.3-1+b1 X11 Session Management library ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxcursor1 1:1.1.9-1 X cursor management library ii libxext6 1:1.0.3-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxfixes3 1:4.0.3-2 X11 miscellaneous 'fixes' extensio ii libxi6 2:1.1.3-1 X11 Input extension library ii libxinerama1 1:1.0.2-1 X11 Xinerama extension library ii libxml2 2.6.30.dfsg-2 GNOME XML library ii libxrandr2 2:1.2.2-1 X11 RandR extension library ii libxrender1 1:0.9.3-1 X Rendering Extension client libra Versions of packages gnome-pilot recommends: ii gnome-pilot-conduits 2.0.15-1 conduits for gnome-pilot -- no debconf information
