Severity: normal

Hi,

I tried to invoke help for the vi | (pipe character) command like
this,

    :viu |

the result is if I had typed instead just,

    :viu

It appears that the pipe character is parsed here as an ex command
separator (which, by the way, is not documented as such in the ex
man page).

I tried escaping the pipe with a backslash, and again with ^Q,
neither was successful in my quest for help for the vi pipe
command.

Thanks,
