If I start the system-config-printer the applications hangs, the window
pops up, but on the inside it does not render anything (stays gray) and
then the gnome bug-buddy is comming up and says the thing is broken.

Thanks for your report. This bug is already fixed with python-gtk2
2.12.1-4.
