Package: bigloo-ude
Version: 2.6d-2
Severity: important

I have set xemacs so that it automatically syntax-highlights C++ files
when I load them. For certain C++ files, xemacs seems to execute the
shell command "make getmode" in a directory a few levels above the
file that I am loading.

strace tell me that just before doing so a file
"/usr/share/xemacs21/site-lisp/bigloo-ude/ude/ude-compile.elc" is
loaded. Removing the package "bigloo-ude" cures the problem, but now
xemacs reports errors while highlighting C++ code. I assume that
maybe the package was not cleanly uninstalled.

The bigloo package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/475720 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
