Hello,
Not sure how useful this report will be, as upstream looks thoroughly
inactive, but hopefully it will help someone.
I am using psnup to combine two A5 pages in an input file in an A4 output file.
The pages are successfully combined, but the "DocumentMedia" and "BoundingBox"
values in the output file remain the same (which causes programs to display the
output file as A5).
Command used:
psnup -pa4 -Pa5 -2 in.ps > out.ps
>From the input A5 file header (and what is currently sent to the output
A4 file as well:
---
%%DocumentMedia: plain 419 595 0 () ()
%%BoundingBox: 0 0 419 595
---
The same values from a normal A4 file (i.e. what the output file should
have instead):
---
%%DocumentMedia: plain 595 841 0 () ()
%%BoundingBox: 0 0 595 841
---
This problem is similar to the one reported in #368331, but I have to
say I am not a fan of the solution proposed in the patch. Instead, pspnup
should insert correct values.
I don't know a lot about PS, but perhaps a simpler alternative would be to
insert the appropriate "DocumentPaperSizes" value (based on what is defined
using -p) and remove the others.
HTH,
George.

Description:
psutils - A collection of PostScript document handling utilities
Closes: 368331 434500 437832 464785
Changes:
psutils (1.17-25) unstable; urgency=low
.
* Update standards version to 3.7.3. No changes required.
* Fix error in psmerge manual page. (Closes: #464785)
* Include patch from Bernhard R. Link to remove paper size information
and bounding boxes from psnup and psresize. This removes bugs
resulting in having usually incorrect information in files when the
paper size has changed, reasoning that having no information is better
than having incorrect information. (Closes: #368331, #434500)
* Honor DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=nostrip by not explicitly calling install -s
to strip executables and instead letting dh_strip do it for us.
(Closes: #437832)
