Package: hobbit-client
Version: 4.2.0.dfsg-12
Severity: wishlist
The blacklist of filesystem types which won't be monitored at all is
hardcoded into /usr/lib/hobbit/client/bin/hobbitclient-linux.sh:
| df -Pl -x none -x tmpfs -x shmfs -x unknown -x iso9660
But monitoring tmpfs does make sense, since e.g. a system running KDE
can become unusable if /tmp is full, e.g. due to to many downloaded
files directly opened from konqueror.
BigBrother, which Hobbit aims to replace, does report tmpfs problems
reliable:
| nefertem - disk
| red Thu Jun 19 23:03:25 CEST 2008 - Disk on nefertem at PANIC level
|
| red /dev/shm (100%) has reached the defined disk space PANIC level (95%)
| red /dev/shm (100%) has reached the defined disk space PANIC level (95%)
|
| tmpfs 257728 0 257728 0% /lib/init/rw
| /dev/hda1 56182236 18166400 35161892 35% /
| none 567004 562952 4052 100% /dev/shm
| tmpfs 567004 562952 4052 100% /dev/shm
The list of not monitored filesystem types should not be hardcoded but
configurable.
