Hi,

after the last upgrade crash update-grub.

# update-grub
Updating /boot/grub/grub.cfg ...
Found Debian background: debian-blueish-wallpaper-640x480.png
No path or device is specified.
Try ``grub-probe --help'' for more information.

no idea wat the real problem is

# grub-probe --target=drive /boot
(hd0,1)

# grub-probe --target=drive /
(hd0,3)

this is all right

# mount
/dev/sda3 on / type xfs (rw,nodiratime)
/dev/sda1 on /boot type ext2 (rw)

# cat /boot/grub/device.map
(hd0) /dev/sda
(hd1) /dev/sdb
(hd2) /dev/sdc

ps: befor the last upgrade he set root not correctly. he set it to hd0,3 and not to hd0,1 on this setup

thanks for ur work

René
