The last couple of gv changelog entries look suspicious, and if my
~/.gv file contains any entries whatsoever (no matter what they are),
I get the following:

belongs to an older version of gv and can not be used.
Please remove or update the outdated file.

If I revert gv back to 1:3.6.4-3, then it all works fine again.
