I think there is a bug in mysql configuration scripts.
I regurarly use "apt-get upgrade -s" and "apt-get upgrade" to keep my server up 
to date.
This morning I did the same to upgrade my mysql server.
After "apt-get upgrade" I got the following messages:

As it can be seen in the 2nd line, the /tmp is mounted with noexec flag so the 
upgrade failed.

At the moment the mysql server seems to be all right but we count on some 
unexpected problems.
