Package: readahead
Version: 1:1.20060421.1016-3
To be able to generate an optimal boot for a freshly installed
machine, it would be useful if it was possible to preseed the
readahead package to create the /etc/readahead/profile-once file on
initial installation. This would allow custom distributions like
Debian Edu to enforce a profile run on the first boot, and thus make
sure the readahead file lists are tuned for the given installation.
The debconf question could either be hidden, or be presented to the
user as a low or normal priority question. I propose
readahead/profile-once as the boolean debconf template name.
Happy hacking,

* Use Quilt instead of custom patch system
- debian/rules: Convert to Quilt
- debian/control: Build-Depend on quilt
* Upgrade to Policy 3.8.0
- debian/README.source: New file, recommended by Policy 3.8.0, explaining
the build system (Quilt & how to recreate debian/boot.list)
* debian/README.Debian: Rewrite section about profiling the boot and warn
users to not profile if preload is enabled.
* Install readahead-check-lists to /usr/sbin/ and add manpage
* Set mode of file lists to 640 (security reasons) and add a lintian
override
* boot.list: Regenerate using an installation of Debian Lenny 2008-07-25
- Closes: #479286
* Do not try to remove existing rc symlinks upon first installation
* Build-Depend on version 6.0.7~ of debhelper, because it provides the
dh_lintian command. (also change compat level to 6)
* postrm: Remove /etc/readahead/profile-once if purging
* Add hidden debconf question readahead/profile-once to profile once
on the next boot (Closes: #483113)
