Package: dhcp3-client
Version: 3.0.1-1
Severity: important

        Hi!

Regarding:
    Closes: #80034: dhcp-relay: Contains /usr/share/man/man5/dhcp-options.5.gz,
                    conflicting with dhcp-client.

This is nice for a quick resolution to ret rid of a RC bug, but after
that a _real_ resolution for the problem has to be worked out. E.g.
through this dhcp3-client conflicts now with *all* programs providing
dhcp-client (including e.g. pump) but there is no reason for it.

Did you try to work this out with the dhcp-client maintainer? Did you
try to think about using dpkg-divert? Or using the alternative
mechanism? Or anything at all?

It in fact makes sense to have several dhcp clients installed next to
one another, and especially there is _no_ conflict between pump and
dhcp3-client, so the current version is more than just annoying...

Pretty please, resolve this problem in a sensible way that doesn't
stump over things that are not related.

 So long,
Alfie
