Package: sylpheed
Version: 2.2.7-1
Severity: important
Using sylpheed with a AOL.de email account is not possible. Sylpheed
finds two INBOX foldes, one "INBOX" and one "Inbox". For the first
startup, is shows the messages in the "INBOX". Then, clicking on some
other folder and on INBOX again, it shows the correct message count but
no messages. Changing from and to INBOX again sets message count to 0.
Fortunately the messages on the server are not affected.

Well, finally I've been able to test by creating a new account, and to
my surprise found no problem with the account regarding the message
count as you describe in your original report. It's true there's two
inbox folders, INBOX and Inbox, but apart of that they seem to work
consistently and both show same mails and mail count.
Hence I believe this either has been fixed in current version or the
AOL.de server behaves better now, we'll probably never know the truth
;-)
I'm closing the bug with this mail, feel free to reopen if for some
reason it doesn't work for you. Or open any other new report if you
find more problems with this server.
best regards,
