I fetch my mails with fetchmail, this mails are send to exim, exim uses
a procmail transport pipe and this sorts it into cyrus-imapd.
The delivery does not work. For soem strange reason I also get (from
/var/log/mail.log):
connect(/var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp) failed: Permission denied
/var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp belongs root:
srwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Aug 11 21:42 lmtp
/var/run/cyrus/socket
drwxr-x--- 2 cyrus mail 4096 Aug 11 21:42 socket
is 750.
So I tried out 755 for the socket directory. And this works. But
everytiem I start cyrus again, this is corrected to 750. So I changed it
in /var/lib/dpkg/statoverride to 755. But I don't know why this is
neccessary
ps axu | grep cyrus:
cyrus 10989 3.1 2.3 11072 2924 ? Ss 21:42 0:00
/usr/sbin/cyrmaster -d
Actually it should be able to access this directory also in 750 mode.
But it does not work.

Well, it looks like your delivery process (the one trying to write
to lmtp socket) is not in mail group. If I am wrong - feel free to
reopen this bug report.
