Package: fai-server
Version: 3.2.1
Severity: normal
grep -r disk_var.sh shows that once the copy in /var/log/fai and once in
/var/lib/fai
is used. IMHO after installation disk_var.sh should be deleted from logdir.
Maybe root of the problem is that during install log and
FAI_CLASSES,disk_var.sh ..
are stored in the same dir. On softupdate they are different.
IMHO introduce a, e.g. VARLIB variable and use it everywhere to assess
FAI_CLASSES,
disk_var.sh ... During install LOGDIR and VARLIB can still be set to the same
dir,
during softinstall they should be different.

As explained in the previous post, this is not a bug, but rather a feature. For
users, it is nevertheless possible to always refer to a single expression
($LOGDIR/disk_var.sh) to obtain the file.
