Package: mysql-server-5.0
Version: 5.0.32-7etch6
Severity: important
I am unable to change the value of innodb_log_file_size from 5Mb to a more
useful
(ie: any other) number.
I logged into the server as root and ran 'set global innodb_fast_shutdown=0'. I
then shut down the server via the init script and verified it was no longer
running.
in the [mysqld] section of my.cnf I set innodb_log_file_size=128M and I moved
the
ib_logfile0 and ib_logfile1 out of /var/lib/mysql.
When the server is restarted, ib_logfile0 and ib_logfile1 are re-created (as
they should) but still with a size of 5Mb, which is not the expected behaviour.
I've tried setting it to 67108864 as well, but the new logfiles that are
created
are still only 5Mb.
Note, this is a Xen domU and the kernel it uses is not a Debian one.
