Package: acpi
Version: 0.09-3
Severity: important

latest debian-kernel trunk 2.6.24-rc8 images switched to the
new ACPI_SYSFS_POWER interface as ACPI_PROCFS_POWER is
deprecated.

cat /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/energy_now
 34400000

correspondign sysfs files give the corresponding values,
hal has already switched interface to newer,
please do so too as 2.6.24 will soon hit unstable/testing.
