Package: linux-sound-base
Version: 1.0.9b-2
Severity: wishlist

Please add a 3rd mode "No OSS at all" which would blacklist OSS modules
AND ALSA OSS emulation modules (like snd_pcm_oss snd_mixer_oss).

I think it would be simple to add this option and will prevent OSS emulation
modules to be loaded. On my laptop, they are loaded but unused.

If some apps are still using OSS, they should be fixed or avoided, so a 3rd
option would help to detect these software.

They are also workaround like esddsp that make OSS software work without
OSS/emulation.

My main worries are that ALSA OSS emulation modules are loaded for nothing.

Thanks.
