With python 2.2.3 some of the zope internal security checks are not
working correctly which is breaking a product I have but more so I am
worried that is breaking a lot of other stuff I have not had time to
track down yet.
This kind of check is failing
getSecurityManager().checkPermission(permission, self) and it works when
python 2.1.3 is used.
Also pickles of DateTime objects can not be loaded back up if saved to
the filesystem when using python 2.2.3 either.If I add
__safe_for_unpickling__ = 1 in the DateTime class it will work but I
don't like that it needed it when other stuff was working.
Please revert zope back to python 2.1.3 as quickly as possible since for
zope 2.6.2 python 2.1.3 is the only supported python configuration and
it is breaking stuff. Having thse security calls not working correctly
is making my code incapable of saving data at all which is a large
problem and I doubt the issue is isolated.

Hello,
I'm closing this bug report because it refers to the old zope (2.6) package
and the current zope in testing/unstable (2.10) doesn't show this problem.
