Package: powermanga
Version: 0.80-dfsg-1
Severity: important
Hi,
Powermanga has three stages of gameplay per level: in the first, enemies
enter the screen one at a time (or in small groups in the higher
levels). In the second stage, many enemies enter the screen from above
in a formation, and shoot down towards the player. In the final stage,
inert objects along with enemies drop down from above and the player has
to destroy them (or they will destroy the player).
The first and the final stage of each level are okay; but the second
stage no longer works the way it should (it used to work about two years
ago, but I haven't been playing the game since quite a while, and just
now I discovered that it's broken).
It's hard to describe what exactly is going wrong, but at first glance
it would appear that some sort of timeout is not working as it should.
The exact failure mode differs between each level; however, it is
constant across different games.
Unfortunately, the bug also results in a situation in about the third or
fourth level where it is impossible to finish the second stage; as a
result, the game sits there and it is impossible to complete it.

Yes, sorry; I didn't realize this bug was still open. I've been playing
powermanga a few times since then, and this bug seems gone. Closing the
bugreport.
It does, however, segfault on me from time to time. This bug is pretty
hard to reproduce, and when it does happen I've so far not been able to
produce a core dump; I'll file a new bug report when I know more.
