mongrel 1.1.5-3 requires libruby1.8 >= 1.8.7.2 on amd64 (but only >=
1.8.6.111 on i386). however, there is nothing about mongrel itself
that requires a particular version of ruby -- nor is there, as far as
I can tell, anything about the debian modifications to mongrel that
would require 1.8.7.
many sites have found riby 1.8.7 to be unstable, especially for
applications like rails. please relax the version of libruby1.8
required for platforms other than i386. >= 1.8.6 would probably be
fine.
