I guess this is not correct (deborphan is orphaned?). Maybe I'm wrong, so

deborphan behaves as expected. -a means "check *all* packages" and since
no package you installed depends on deborphan it is shown as orphaned.
Don't use -a to check which packages can be removed, this might lead to
behaviour you do not expect.
