Package: waproamd
Version: 0.6-4
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

waproamd floods my syslog with messages like this every 30s

Oct 19 21:42:11 localhost waproamd(ath0)[3532]: Scanning...
Oct 19 21:42:20 localhost waproamd(ath0)[3532]: Scan completed with 0 suitable
networks. (total: 0)

This is not nice:
 * May hide important information in the log
 * Scanning is the "normal" thing to do, so I don't care as long as it
   works
 * Causes unnecessary log file writes which cause less battey time on a
   laptop

Therefore it would be nice if waproamd would only log successful scans
or disconnects, unless some kind of debuggin is enabled - then it is ok
to tell me about the scans.

Thanks,

nomeata

The waproamd package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/509389 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
