please give back package xmonad-contrib on the arches
arm armel hppa i386 ia64 s390
on the unstable buildds. They have been tried with an uninstallable
version of a dependency.

A fixed version has been uploaded, just not built for i386 yet, because
of a broken dependency:
http://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?pkg=xmonad-contrib;ver=0.8-5;arch=i386;stamp=1232317240
