Package: mutt
Version: 1.5.16-2
Severity: normal
I believe this is related to #428734 and #421468 but there are some
differences so I'm opening a new bug.
I've got the same problem as reported in #421468 since upgrading to
1.5.16-2. Judging by /var/cache/apt/archives/ I was previously using
1.5.13-3. I'm also using courier-imapd.
I didn't specifically notice this symptom until checking existing bug
reports. My main symptom is that mutt doesn't seem to notice folders
that have new messages (prompting for them when pressing 'c'
(change-folder)) unless new messages arrive while mutt is running.
Regarding #428734, disabling the maildir-mtime patch at build time also
fixes the problem described in #428734 and #421468 for me, but it
doesn't fix change-folder. I also tried set maildir_mtime=no and then
=yes in .muttrc with the patch applied, but that didn't fix either
problem.
