Package: fvwm
Version: 2.5.12-5
Severity: normal

Package fvwm depends on gtk libraries because of a single
/usr/lib/fvwm/2.5.12/FvwmGtk file, that is not commonly used. This file
should be placed in separate package to eliminate unneeded dependencies.

Hi,

Actually, there is a separate package to handle FvwmGtk; and
the normal fvwm package disable the gtk configuration option (so we
actually build two binary packages. This can be seen in the
dependency lists of the two packages generated.

The linkage present is thus required (fvwm is indeed a viable GNNOME
wm). There is no way to avoid the linking with the GTK libraries, in
any case, since the buildd's generate both sets of binaries from the
same source, the gtk libs are always available, and autoconf
generated Makefiles do the right thing and link them in.
