Package: smstools
Severity: wishlist
Hello Maintainer,
I have tried to contact upstream, but I have gotten rejects from my
ISP <[email protected]> that the messages timed out...
However, since I have ONLY ONE "Nokia 6120 classic" which I use to
access the internet, "smstools" are now, since v3, useles since there
is no possibility for a "run-and-stop".
In the past, I was using "smsput" and "smsget" which have send/received
messages once and exited. So I could run it from a "cronjob" whitout
blocking my HSDPA access. (the script for smsput/smsget has checked
the /dev/ttyUSB0 whether it is used or not)
So my URGENT featurerequest is to add a "--run-and-stop" option to smsd
which should run only one cycle and then exit.
Currently I am using a heavyly hacked (I have rebuild smsput and smsget)
version of SMStools but it is very difficult to get track of changes...
Thanks, Greetings and nice Day
