Package: nfs-user-server
Version: 2.2beta47-20
Severity: important
I have the nfs-user-server running on a debian testing (the machine
below - called roo ) and the exported directories are mounted on a debian
unstable
machine (called kanger). Both are on a local 100Mb lan and are in the
domain ".home".
When copying files (mostly from the client to the server) with something like
konqueror
the transfer starts very rapidly, and then stalls - mostly
starting again after 20 to 30 secs (then stalling again). It is
normally faster with the command line, although the reason for this bug
report is that I attempted to mv a 2MB file and it just failed to
transfer at all. This was to a nfs mount in the home directory on the
server and not normally used (generally use scp to move files here).
My export file is below
/var/lib/samba/fileshare
kanger.home(async,rw,all_squash,anonuid=1000,anongid=1000)
rabbit.home(async,rw,all_squash,anonuid=1000,anongid=1000)
/home/alan kanger.home(rw,async)
/usr/share/drupal kanger.home(rw,async,squash_gids=1000,anongid=33)
/var/www kanger.home(rw,async,squash_gids=1000,anongid=33)
uid=1000 is user alan (ie me) and are all exports are mounted in
directories in my home on kanger.
