Package: gthumb
Version: 3:2.6.6-1
Severity: minor

I like to have my windows selected on mouse-over but not automatically
raised. In gnome window preference choose accordingly:
[x] set to "select window on mouse-over"
[ ] raise selected window after an interval

This corresponds to the following gconf keys:
  metacity/general/focus_mode: sloppy
  metacity/general/auto_raise: [ ]

With these settings a partially hidden window is raised with a mouse click.
By coincidence, the mouse click also triggers gthumb to show the next
slide. This is almost never useful, as I raise the window to see the
actual picture not the next one.

Suggestion: A mouse click should only trigger the next slide if the click
is not used to raise the gthumb window.

thanks

Hello,
this "bug" doesn't show up clicking on the topbar, that is where one would
normally click to raise the window.

Also, this "bug" isn't really a bug: in the reported situation the focus would
follow the mouse, thus when clicking on the image area the application is
already focused: it just isn't raised (it's the same case when you have some
other window with "Stay on top" set).

This is not a bug in gthumb nor in any WM -- it's just the designed behaviour.

Kindly,
David
