Package: sound-juicer
Version: 2.22.0-2
Severity: wishlist
According to random posts on the net, ripping mp3 with sound-juicer is
difficult, which is way far from true.
AFAICT, the needed gstreamer pipeline is already enabled, but will not
work untile lame/gstreamer*-lame are installed. This is quite
misleading for the user because in the sound-juicer preferences the
tick "active" associated to the mp3 pipeline is enabled, even when it
cannot be selected (to to the lack of lame).
Can you please suggest the installation of lame somewhere, so that the
user has a hint of what is missing to rip CDs as mp3 files? Currently
there is no clue whatsoever ...
Cheers.
PS yes, I know that there are no lame/gstreamer*-lame in the official
Debian archive, but I believe that for several users knowing that
lame is missing will be enough to know where to find it
