This is a wishlist request, but I'd be very keen to see it done - let me
know if you want be to try and help do it.
There is a patch called coerce which (via options) allows you to force
the de-miming of list messages. I'd very much like this...

Hi,
I'm closing this bug, as the mailman 2.1.x series has functionality built in
to deal with demiming. Upstream has indicated this as the reason to close the
patch item on their tracker aswell.
