Version: 2.5.4-2
Severity: minor
Hello,
thanks for maintaining pidgin.
Recently, the icon that notifies in the system tray that there are
unread messages has changed. Originally it was some neutral geometric
shape, and now it's a smiley face.
It has happened to me several times already to click on the smiley face
and to find a message that was not fun at all. Having messages in
important but annoying and demanding conversations highlighted using
smileys can prove to be extremely irritating.
I'm sure the original authors did not intend to have fun of people who
are not having fun conversations, but that can end up being the result
of the icon change: I would strongly encourage going back to something
neutral.
Ciao,
Enrico
