I've just installed this and tried a 'l breeder' to test it, it didn't
work. From the last time I tried it (around debian 1.3) the pattern
should consist of half a dozen puffer trains arranged around a few
spaceships (that absorb unneeded gliders and such). The pattern that
loaded looked rather random with a pair of puffer train heads top and
bottom.
I also tried some of the smaller patterns (eg: glider guns) and they
worked fine, so it looks like some example files that have become
corrupted; however, they all have a modified date of 1992-12-15 and
look reasonable!
After a little more checking my guess is that the 'include file' routines
aren't working properly and so are making the files appear corrupt when
in fact they are fine.
