I can't use Ctrl modifier in gnome-terminal.
I have two keyboard layouts: English and Russian.
Even if I switch keyboard layout to English, pressing Ctrl-C combination in
gnome-terminal instead of interrupting the current comand prints russian "с"
letter. And, also, russian "я" letter instead of the Ctrl-Z effect. And, also,
all corresponding russian letters when pressing Ctrl and each button.
I think this is related to the Ubuntu bug 309959
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/309959).

I reset GNOME keyboard parameters to default (from previously chosen
specific-model) and the problem is gone.
