Package: libgtk1.2-dev
Version: 1.2.10-12
Severity: normal
Looking at the rules file of this source package, it seems libgtk1.2,
libgtk1.2-dev and libgtk1.2-dbg are all configured with the same options -
the only difference between the regular ones and -dbg is that the latter
are unstripped.
But gtk debugging involves more than running gdb: with a GUI toolkit you
need event tracing, for example. This is turned on for libgtk at configure
time with --enable-debug=yes, and that's what you need to do for -dev and for
-dbg packages.
Right now I am completely stuck with my project unless I compile gtk locally
:-(
