Package: gnome-mplayer
Version: 0.9.5-1
Severity: normal

When opening an audio file (e.g. ogg or mp3) in Firefox, gnome-mplayer
uses a very large window to play the file, taking up most of my screen.
It is not possible to resize it. Example link:

Best regards
Torquil Sørensen

I'm marking this as closed as upstream has confirmed that this is the
expected behaviour. You can of course use gnome-mplayer standalone or
you could "disable embedding" (in this latter case you would still end
up with a blank tab in firefox).
