The notification area icon appears to be unchanging, so doesn't give
information on anything except that the program is running.
Please decorate the icon with the current status if it it is anything
other than “stopped”; the icon could be decorated with the standard
media-player control icons clearly visible, to show at a glance that
the player is currently “playing”, “paused”, etc.
For example, see the Decibel or Sonata notification area icon
decorations.
